How to Live the Christian Lifestyle

CHRISTIANITY IS A LIFESTYLE

Our relationship with God is not driven by doctrine or dogma. It is based on how we live our lives in accordance with His Word. It is supposed to be a way of life, not a weight on life.

CHRISTIANITY IS A DECISION

As a Christian, you make a decision to consciously avoid doing certain things. Since it is a decision, you have to constantly check whether you are on course or not. Your decision to become a Christian is a sacred covenant between you and Jesus Christ. It should not be forced down your through. God is gentle in His dealings with us.

CHRISTIANITY IS A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

No two marriages are the same. My relationship with God is different from yours because we all have degrees of closeness to Him. You might be closer to God than me or vice versa. Therefore, it is up to you to make most of that relationship. Just as you take time to cultivate a relationship with another human being, do the same with God. He seeks a deeper relationship with you.

CHRISTIANITY IS ABOUT MAKING A DIFFERENCE

You will have implement what you learn from God’s Word.Christians are not called to be power-hungry people or pew-warmers. Use your Christian experience to affect lives and change perceptions. Your best testimony is not the faith you profess. It is the life you lead.

CHRISTIANITY IS ABOUT BECOMING BETTER

You cannot know God and still desire the gutters of sin. An encounter with God exposes the sin within you and you are led to a life that is rid of whatever bogs you down. As a Christian, seek to be an example to others by leading an example worthy of emulation.

CHRISTIANITY IS ABOUT CHOICES AND CONSEQUENCES

God tells us through His Word that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus. Every Christian knows that every choice has a consequence, so you must make choices that have savory consequences. Do not derail your own success by sabotaging it with wrong decisions.

CHRISTIANITY IS A DUTY TO PERFORM

Your Christian faith calls you to pay tithes, serve mankind and do good. Action is a theme in Christianity. This is why it is sin when you refuse to do the good you must do to commit the evil you must avoid. Act on your faith. Let it shine for others to know.
